Hot Spring Shark Attack Film Review
There’s a new Sharksploitation film swimming its way to your VOD service, and it’s chomping at the bit to surprise you with a unique story that is meant to tickle your funny bone versus shivers down your spine.
Get ready for HOT SPRING SHARK ATTACK!
In the small hot spring town of Atsumi, a ferocious ancient shark has awoken and begins terrorizing the local hot spring facilities. As the threat escalates, the local police, mayor, marine biologist, and onsen guardian, Momo, band together to protect Atsumi from the menacing predator, leading to a fierce and thrilling battle.
HOT SPRING SHARK ATTACK does not take itself seriously, and that’s what makes this B-movie a gem and absolute must-see this summer.
From the sporadic plot, various tributes to JAWS, outlandish characters (Momo is chef’s kiss), special and practical effects that range from CGI, models, puppets and green screen, HOT SPRING SHARK ATTACK leaves BIRDEMIC dog-paddling in the shallows.
HOT SPRING SHARK ATTACK will debut for special previews at various Alamo Drafthouse locations on Wednesday, July 9. The film will officially open theatrically for extended runs and special engagements Friday, July 11, including Los Angeles and New York City.
The same day, audiences across North America will be able to rent or own HOT SPRING SHARK ATTACK on Apple TV, Prime Video, Fandango at Home, iNDEMAND and Vubiquity.
Break out the kiddie pool and dive in this Friday!
